Saturday Shop Tour! Update on current projects
Share
Hi everyone, Brigham Larson here from Brigham Larson Pianos. I recently had the chance to give a quiet Saturday evening tour of our bustling piano restoration shop. With no technicians or clients around, it was the perfect time to review the week's progress on various piano restorations. In this video I highlight some standout projects and give you an inside look at the intricate work involved in bringing these beautiful instruments back to life. Here’s an update on some of our current projects:
- Working on a range of historical pianos, such as an 1885 Emerson receiving new hammers and dampers, and a 1902 Shaw being restrung.
- Maintaining the original wood color on a Kimball Piano while refinishing other parts in satin black, and preserving the original ivory keys on another.
- Refurbishing a Sommer piano as a wedding present and family heirloom
- Refinishing and adding a fresh decal to a Steinway with multiple coats of paint stripped off.
Our shop is always buzzing with various piano restoration activities. If you’d like to see more, feel free to check out our youtube channel to see more shop tours!
