The Clark Family Piano!

Brigham Larson Pianos

My parents have always shared their love of music with me, and starting at age 5 when I took my first piano lesson, I have felt that same adoration of the piano and sharing music. I grew up taking piano lessons and performing in festivals and competition, and have always loved learning new pieces. I love playing music in my home, but I also really love to perform and share the music with other people. When I graduated college and moved away, I knew the first thing I wanted to add to my home was a grand piano. I have a 7’ Young Chang that I play daily, and until very recently, it was my favorite thing in my home. I was looking for a unique piano with ornate detail and rich history, and found a 7’ Chickering which I knew I wanted immediately after seeing it. It’s now my favorite thing in my home, and I would like to restore it to its original glory so I can play this throughout the rest of my life, and pass on to my children someday.
I want to preserve this Chickering piano and eventually pass it on to my posterity. Although it isn’t an heirloom to my family, it’s an incredible piece of American history. I’m interested in restoring and preserving this meticulously crafted piano and enjoying it for the rest of my life. People are generally interested in buying something new and shiny, but I see the value and the reminder of the beauty and elegance from that time period, with impeccable craftsmanship. I want to keep that rich history alive and continue to share beautiful music on this one-of-a-kind instrument.
