“Way Cool Keyboarding” Music Camp

We wanted to give you a recap of the summer camps that went on the last couple of weeks:

Here are the results of the “Way Cool Keyboarding” for Kids Summer Music Camp:  In one week’s time, they passed off 18 pages out of their  book.  On their last day, they performed songs with both hands, reading the notes, not just playing by ear.  They performed for their parents at the Celebration on Friday, the last day of camp, with confidence and knowledge.  The kids worked hard, and played hard upstairs, with all the games and relays to further enhance their piano skills.  It was fun!

Here are the results of the “Way Cool Keyboarding” for Teens Summer Music Camp:  In once week’s time, they passed off 30 pages in the 50 page WCK book.  They performed 22 songs for their parents at the Celebration on Friday, the last day of camp.  They were reading at full speed with both hands, and counting out loud like maestros.  They played lots of game that week and ran a lot of fun relays in teams to test their skills on t;he vinyl keyboards upstairs.  They really became pianists that week and improved fabulously on their note-reading.  So proud of them!
