Playing Games at “Way Cool Keyboarding” Music Classes

In the “Way Cool” Keyboarding classes for both kids and teens, we often play games with them to prepare them to play their songs on the piano.  Playing games with them seems to help them learn more effectively and have more fun.
Here is one way to teach the white keys on the piano using “Grandma’s House” and the “Doghouse” as tools.  They learn the principle and then apply it with these flashcards.  Later they internalize the notes even faster through reading complete words of notes and playing relays on the keyboard with them. The kids and teens love it and learn faster this way.
