Piano Action – Advanced Design Training
Brigham and I are at Renner Academy this week in Arizona. So if you call his cell… you’ll probably get me, because he is busy advancing his skills in piano action design.
Here is some info from the Renner Academy website that explains what is so exciting about attending this piano design convention. Brigham thinks he’s at Disneyland for Piano Techs!
The world-renowned, Renner Academy is a full week “Immersion Course” with the Piano Industry’s top instructors who will provide hands-on training in the art of replacing and regulating the grand piano action and underlever system. The week long technical school is a very comprehensive course designed for beginning, intermediate, and advanced level piano technicians who want to expand and perfect their knowledge in all areas of grand piano action replacement, repair, regulation, advanced hammer selection, preparation, voicing, back action replacement, and damper regulation. You will also visit the Renner USA headquarters, the famous Musical Instrument Museum (MIM), and Spreeman Piano Innovations where the Ravenscroft piano is handcrafted. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a special certificate from Louis Renner, Germany, and Renner USA for completing the Renner Academy “Grand Piano Action Master Course”.
