Community Outreach (Service Performances)
To support our mission of “Developing Talent and Testimony,” our Piano Academy students are invited to participate in our Community Outreach Recitals each quarter. These performances take place in a variety of settings – nursing homes, rehab centers, public libraries, and others. We believe, as Spencer W. Kimball once said, that “we are in a position, as musicians, to touch the souls of those who listen.”
Our Community Outreach recitals are focused on teaching our students to use music to serve and uplift those around them. All students are welcome to play at these events, whether their pieces are memorized and polished, only partly learned, or somewhere in between. Students can play recital pieces, hymns, method book pieces, or anything else they’ve worked on – and teachers often participate as well! We love seeing our students learn the joy that comes from sharing their talents with others.

“For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads.” —Doctrine and Covenants 25:12
