November Piano Recitals

We host four piano recitals per year at Utah Piano Conservatory: February, May, July, and November. Piano teachers work with and encourage students to prepare memorized, polished solos for recital performance. Performance in recitals is by nomination from piano teachers for students who are performance ready. This includes preparation in performance etiquette (entrance, introduction, performance, bow & exit) and a fully memorized piece.  All students play from memory at formal recitals. We are pleased to have our November formal piano recitals tomorrow, November 4th at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. All students are encouraged to attend recitals, even if they are not playing. Students are also welcome to bring guests to recitals. We are very excited for the performances tomorrow!

website-photo-1Beginning students are encouraged to perform their solo pieces 5 times prior to their concert recital performance.  Mid-level to advanced students are encouraged to find 10 performance opportunities prior to performing on the concert stage to refine their piece and presentationAdult students may also to participate in recitals, but are not required to do so. The past few weeks we have been witnessing students bring in their Pre-Recital Performance sheets with signatures of people they have performed their pieces for. What a wonderful opportunity it is to see our students preparing well for the recitals. We are confident in the quality of our recitals! Please join us tomorrow, Saturday November 4th at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., or 3:30 p.m. for fantastic piano music!
