AMAZING two piano DM Duo Performance
Tiffany Delgado and Hilary Mauler first came together as a duo for an ensemble class at Brigham Young University in April 2012. Their instructor, Dr. Irene Peery-Fox, encouraged the duo to look into competing. The team decided to spend the summer learning and recording the required repertoire for the Ellis Duo Piano Competition, sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs. Much of the time spent preparing for this competition was done as the two lived hours away, in different cities. The duo also discovered the United States International Duo Piano Competition and decided to enter. The team soon found out that they were finalists in both competitions, and competed in the final rounds to receive first place. Dr. Karen Lamberger, Ph.D from Washington University, described the team as “the epitome of what a duo team should be.” Besides commenting on the “exquisite dialogue” between the two pianists, she commented that “they enjoy what they are doing and it shows!” In April 2013 at Brigham Young University’s university wide commencement ceremony, Hilary and Tiffany performed the Lutoslawski Paganini Variations for a twenty thousand plus crowd, and a live broadcast on BYUTV. The duo has performed as guest artists at Brigham Young University, Dixie State University, Jackson State University, and Belhaven University. They have performed with the Manassas, Virginia Symphony, and have given performances in various cities throughout the United States.  The duo, as reported by Dr. Richard Glazier, “grabbed my attention from the beginning” and “showed great sensitivity as well as excellent technique.” Both members of the duo received their degrees in Piano Performance from Brigham Young University (Hilary BM, Tiffany BM, MM). Hilary currently lives in Utah with her husband and their two daughters. Tiffany also lives in Utah with her husband and their son.
Tiffany Delgado graduated with her master’s degree in piano performance from Brigham Young University studying with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox. She received her bachelor’s degree in piano performance also from BYU studying with Dr. Scott Holden. In 2012, Tiffany won the BYU concerto competition and performed with the BYU Philharmonic Symphony. In January 2013, she placed first in the United States International Duo Piano Competition with her duo partner Hilary Mauler, and in April of 2013, took first place at the Ellis Duo Piano Competition sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs. Tiffany currently lives in Utah with her husband Manuel, and son Maxwell

Hilary Mauler completed her bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Brigham Young University under the direction of Dr. Irene Peery-Fox. As a solo pianist, Hilary has soloed twice with the Utah Southwest Symphony and was on a music scholarship throughout her collegiate education.  Most recently, she has enjoyed performing as a duo pianist with Tiffany Delgado, placing first in both the United States International Duo Piano Competition, and the Ellis Duo Competition, sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs. Hilary currently lives in Utah with her husband David and their daughters Halle and Maci.
